Opal & Oak is a Southern Highlands–based interior design studio creating homes that feel beautiful, functional, and deeply personal.

We believe interiors should do more than look good: they should support the way people live. How you move through your home, how your family gathers, how you host, rest, work, and connect. Because the most successful spaces are the ones that feel as good as they look.

Our work is grounded in thoughtful luxury, balancing aesthetics with practicality to create homes that feel layered, lived-in, and entirely your own. We value individuality over trends, sustainability over excess, and spaces that tell a story rather than simply fill a room.

With a background in fashion, graphic design, and creative leadership at Canva, Sacha brings a multidisciplinary approach to interiors, balancing visual storytelling with structure, emotion with practicality, and beauty with purpose.

Born in the Netherlands and now based in Australia, her work carries a distinctly European sensibility: an appreciation for form, function, texture, and spaces that feel collected rather than purchased. She believes homes should tell stories: layered, personal spaces that reflect the people who live within them.

“Good design isn’t about making a home look beautiful. It’s about creating a space that supports the life you want to live.”

We believe homes should feel collected, not purchased. They should be layered with meaning, character, and pieces that tell a story. True luxury is found in thoughtful design: spaces that feel warm, resolved, and deeply personal. Beauty and function belong together, and every decision should enhance the way you live, not complicate it.

For us, good design is about creating homes that feel timeless, lived-in, and entirely yours.

OUR PHILOSOPHY
OUR APPROACH

Every project begins with understanding how your home needs to work for you. Rather than focusing only on style preferences, we look at how you move through the space, what feels unresolved, and what success looks like once the project is complete.

From concept development and sourcing to final styling and full turn-key installation, we guide each project with both creativity and structure, based on your needs. We bring clarity to the process and confidence to every decision.

While we balance vision with practicality we aim to create spaces that feel beautiful, functional, and aligned with the life you want to live.

Whether you are embarking on a new build, a renovation, or furnishing your existing home, we offer consultations as well as end-to-end experience, grounded in design excellence and executed with care.
